Eleanor Brinsko, MLIS, is a professional genealogist who specializes in Norwegian-American genealogy by looking at genealogical and social trends on both sides of the Atlantic. Eleanor has given lectures for the Wisconsin Historical Society and universities, public libraries, genealogical societies, and family reunions across the United States.

As with many established nations, the borders of the country change over time. There is fluctuation with the territory and the people that live within them due to war, climate, and politics. In this presentation, we will look at what parts of the world were considered to be part of Norway and who came to live within those borders and how these roles play a part in our genealogical research.
