Research

Library collectionN-AGA assists members with family history research. We actively collect and reference materials for the Norwegian collection stored at the MGS Genealogy Library, 1185 Concord Street North, Suite 218, South St. Paul, Minnesota. The Norwegian collection has many history finding aids, maps, bygdeboker (community histories), Norwegian passenger lists, Rowberg obituary files, Norwegian genealogical periodicals and family histories. If you own Norwegian genealogical materials, please consider donating at any time to our library. The MGS library staff will help you with any questions.

In Addition, the MGS Library has an online catalog so that you can search the library resources. We have produced a Search Guide to help you with catalog searches.

Non-members could try posting a query on our Facebook Groups Page

Have you ever considered contributing some financial help in your will to help purchase bygdeboker for the library from the many Norway Fylkes thus helping future generations?
