N-AGA Now Helping in the MGS Library
We will be scheduling members to volunteer in the MGS Library on the fourth Saturday of each month starting September 27, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. During this time you can obtain expert help in tracking your Norwegian ancestors. Click on the link above for more information regarding the MGS Library location and hours.
We Hold Monthly Meetings and Quarterly Seminars
Meetings provide members the opportunity to discuss individual concerns, learn techniques for locating unique resources and share interesting genealogical and cultural information. Share and learn with us on the last Wednesday of every month. Our Events Page will keep you informed of any changes or special events. Most members come a little early (6 PM) and do research. Monthly meetings start at 7 PM ending around 8:30. Most months we have special guest speakers. If there is no speaker we finish the evening with some research time or sharing of information.
Seminars - our teachers are taking a break in 2017. The seminars should resume in 2018.
Waffle Night at N-AGA
The members got a real treat at our November 30th meeting. Stine Aasland, the Waffle Queen of Norway, was our guest. While she was telling us all about her waffle 'empire,' president Troy was busy pouring batter into the waffle maker. The croud was allowed to sample two types of her tasty treats. Here we see Stine and Troy showing off her waffels and book.
